Danielle Maltais

Danielle Maltais, Ph. D., was a regular and then full professor at the Unité d’enseignement en travail social at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) from January 1994 to September 2024. She is now Professor Emerita. She directed the Chaire de recherche institutionnelle Événements traumatiques, santé mentale et résilience from November 2015 to December 2025. A graduate of the Université de Montréal, where she earned a doctorate in applied human sciences, she has worked since September 1996 on the consequences of disasters and traumatic events for the health of individuals, practitioners and communities.
