Alexandra Laliberté

Alexandra Laliberté is a Master’s student in social work at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), under the supervision of professors Eve Pouliot and Marie Fall. She holds a bachelor’s degree in social work from UQAC. Her research interests focus on the consequences of disasters for young people, equitable adaptation to climate change and the realities of vulnerable populations in Senegal. A FRQSC scholarship recipient, she is writing a thesis on the social representations of climate change among young people who have experienced flooding. She works on a RIISQ-funded project that uses Digital Storytelling to better understand and mitigate the psychosocial impacts of flooding on the life trajectories of adolescents and parents in rural settings, while fostering their sense of agency. The project falls within the research program of the CRC ZENITH.
