Catherine Lacelle

Catherine Lacelle is a doctoral student in applied human sciences at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), under the supervision of professors Eve Pouliot and Julie Fortin. She holds a college diploma in Special Care Counselling and is currently completing a master’s degree in social work (UQAC), during which she was funded by the FRQSC and the CRSH. She works as a research assistant in the Département des sciences humaines et sociales, where she has contributed to projects on the impacts of the pandemic, work-family balance and the evaluation of intervention programs in youth protection. Her research interests include youth, family, innovative interventions, natural disasters and social inequalities. Her doctoral project is part of a RIISQ-funded project that uses an open-innovation approach to restore the connection to nature among young people exposed to flooding, and that is integrated into the research program of the CRC ZENITH.
