Patrick Giroux

Professor of Educational Technology at UQAC

Patrick Giroux, Ph. D., is professor of educational technology at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) and chair of the département des sciences de l’éducation at UQAC, as well as an associate researcher with the CRIFPE, the GRIIPTIC, the PUPP and the LAVIA. His work focuses primarily on digital literacy, educational technology and the development of the competencies required for learning in a digital world. His research addresses information literacy, the integration of technology in school settings and teacher training in this area. More recently, he has examined the use of communities of practice (CoP) to support teachers’ professional development in relation to artificial intelligence.
