Master’s student in social work (UQAC)

Olivia Maltais-Dufour is a Master’s student in social work at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC), under the supervision of professor Eve Pouliot. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from UQAC and a certificate in addictions studies. Her interests centre on the effects of disasters on young people, particularly with respect to their lifestyle habits. Her thesis accordingly examines the lifestyle habits of adolescents during the COVID-19 pandemic, according to whether or not they had been exposed to a previous disaster. This project is part of a larger study on the experiences of young people exposed to cumulative natural disasters in rural settings (CRSH – Développement Savoir). Like other projects she has been involved in as a research assistant, it falls within the research program of the CRC ZENITH.
