Annie Dumont, Ph.D., S.W., is professor of social work in the Département des sciences humaines et sociales at the Université du Québec à Chicoutimi (UQAC) and coordinator of practicum training at the Unité d’enseignement en travail social. She is also a regular researcher at the Centre de recherche universitaire sur les jeunes et les familles (CRUJeF), a member of the Centre intersectoriel en santé durable and a member of national and international research networks on the transition to adulthood among youth in care (INTRAC and CANTRAC). Her work focuses primarily on the life trajectories and transitions to adulthood of young people in situations of vulnerability, particularly those who have experienced out-of-home placement or exposure to domestic violence. She is also interested in social work intervention practices, youth agency and group work practice.
