Jacinthe Dion, Ph.D., is Full Professor in the Département de psychologie at the Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR). She holds the Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Sexual Violence against Vulnerable Youth (Aquarelle) and is co-holder of the Chaire de recherche VISAJ sur la vie et la santé des jeunes. A psychologist by training, her work examines the risk and protective factors associated with the adjustment of young people exposed to various forms of interpersonal violence. Her research addresses sexual violence, violence in sport settings, child maltreatment and the evaluation of prevention programs. She also develops collaborative research approaches involving young people, families and practice settings in order to foster concrete benefits for communities.
